All That Remains Toledo Concert reviews
Didn't Have a WOW Experience
In my opinion, Derek can play guitar like there's no tomorrow, and Susan's got a great voice, though many disagree. Great choice for opening act, Leon Russell is always a pleasure to see. They are similar, however. Raitt is a lot better, I think. My cons: I didn't like the overall sound. It was too 'trebly' with not enough bottom, to me. The other thing is that I didn't get enough of a glimpse into their personalities. Derek barely looks at the audience, let alone talk to them. He must be painfully shy. There was no repartee with the audience, and that's important to me. I didn't feel a 'connection' at all. But if you don't care about that stuff, then the music is great. Certainly a lot of talent there.
